Globally acclaimed for their exquisite taste and fragrance, Indian mango varieties such as Alphonso, Chausa, Kesar, Badami, and Neelam have enchanted taste buds worldwide. The primary international markets for this year’s mango exports included London, Toronto, and New York, underscoring the ongoing demand in significant western regions.
“At CSMIA, we take pride in being the premier gateway for mango exports from India,” stated a representative from the airport. “With our state-of-the-art infrastructure and a dedicated cold chain facility, we guarantee that every mango arrives at its global destination fresh and in optimal condition.”

The representative further noted that to maintain quality standards, CSMIA utilizes its Agro Excellence Centre, a 2,000-square-metre temperature-regulated facility specifically designed for perishable cargo. This facility keeps temperatures between 15°C and 25°C throughout the logistics process, from acceptance and screening to palletising, effectively preserving the produce’s freshness and minimizing spoilage.
The airport applies strategic palletisation methods that promote optimal air circulation and humidity levels, both essential for the fragile nature of mangoes. Furthermore, cargo is only dispatched for loading when flights are prepared for takeoff, ensuring minimal exposure to ambient heat.
Exporters benefit from CSMIA’s real-time tracking functionalities via its mobile app, Turant, which offers complete visibility from cargo drop-off to final shipment.
