IndiGo Enhances Puducherry Links with 14 Weekly Flights

IndiGo has reinforced its services in neighboring Puducherry, operating 14 flights each week, thereby boosting regional connectivity, the airline announced on Saturday, January 3.

The improved air connectivity has facilitated Puducherry’s growth across various sectors. Enhanced access to Bengaluru and Hyderabad has allowed residents to travel more efficiently for specialized healthcare and higher education, according to IndiGo.

The airline began operations from Puducherry on December 20, 2024, and has now marked one year of service in the Union Territory. As of December 2025, it operates 14 weekly flights from Puducherry, linking the city with Bengaluru and Hyderabad, a press release stated on Saturday.

The air service has also enabled onward connectivity for passengers traveling from Puducherry to various destinations across India and abroad, it noted.

Over the past year, IndiGo’s services have provided dependable air connectivity from Puducherry, meeting travel demands in a region where scheduled air services were often scarce.

The launch of regular commercial flights has enhanced accessibility and made air travel more convenient for residents, students, professionals, and tourists, the release added.
