“Flight operations are gradually improving, but some departures and arrivals may still be affected,” the airport officials reported this morning.

provided ‘considerate adjustments on the ground’, while Air India informed its passengers that those affected could reschedule their flights at no charge or receive a penalty-free refund.
“We have implemented our Fog Care programme, which notifies passengers booked on affected or potentially affected flights ahead of time,” added an Air India statement.

The air quality index (AQI) in Delhi stood at a hazardous 378 around 8 am on December 16, based on this live dashboard.
A day prior, 228 flights were cancelled at the Delhi airport.
In another incident, on the Delhi-Agra expressway, seven buses and three cars crashed due to low visibility, resulting in a fire and the loss of four lives, according to news agency ANI. Rescue operations are currently ongoing.
