Bethenny Frankel is no stranger to her unabashedly candid beauty product reviews on social media. Now, she’s upping the ante, sharing behind-the-scenes footage from a recent Sofwave treatment.
In a post shared to her Instagram grid, she captioned it: “Getting in supermodel shape with @sofwavemed… let the countdown begin.” The Real Housewives of New York alum mentioned it’s “one of the things” she’s doing as part of a larger glow-up strategy that she’s seemingly keeping under wraps.
What she’s not keeping a secret is her goal: “I want to tighten my butt,” she told followers. “It’s kind of mimicking gym exercises,” she said of the treatment. “I just like that it’s pulling everything together.”
As shown in the video, applicators were placed on Frankel’s abs and butt using the Sofwave Pure Impact device. Unlike traditional Sofwave treatments, which focus solely on skin tightening, Pure Impact combines muscle stimulation designed to mimic plyometric-style movements (short, explosive exercises used in high-intensity workouts) with Sofwave’s proprietary ultrasound technology to stimulate collagen and elastin in the mid-dermal layer of the skin.
The aim is to strengthen and tone underlying muscles while also improving skin firmness, making the treatment especially appealing for areas like the abs and butt. Like the original Sofwave treatment, it works without damaging fat and requires no needles or downtime.
Frankel certainly isn’t alone in her interest in the treatment. Kim Kardashian and Khloé Kardashian are two more celebrities who’ve posted about Sofwave’s benefits on social media. “Meet my new best friend!” the Skims founder wrote as a text overlay atop a photo of the Sofwave machine, shared in February 2025. “Not gonna lie… this hurts on the body but not on the face for some reason, but it’s BEYOND worth it! Probably the best machine out there for lifting and collagen production.”
Her sister was just as enthusiastic. “I am basically doing my entire body and face, because why not?” she wrote on her Instagram Story. “We want that! And what’s so cool about it [is that] it has this amazing applicator, it doesn’t break or damage the skin, there’s no downtime and it’s basically like a biostimulant. It’s going to be repairing your collagen for the next six to 12 months.”
