Chanel Just Found Its New Crush, and Her Name Is Gracie Abrams

Mademoiselle Abrams has entered the chat. Chanel just announced Gracie Abrams as the new face of Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu, the house’s newest fragrance, launching this August—and if you’ve been keeping tabs on her steady rise through the Chanel universe, this one tracks perfectly.

The 26-year-old singer has been a Chanel ambassador since 2025, fronting the Spring-Summer Pre-Collection campaign before becoming the face of Coco Crush jewelry. Landing Crush Absolu feels like the natural next chapter, a continuation of a relationship that’s clearly working for both sides. “It’s unreal to be the new face of Coco Mademoiselle, I feel an immense sense of pride,” Abrams said in a press release. “I love that Coco is someone who leaves a mark everywhere she goes. Sometimes, I wish I could be more like her.”

What makes the pairing so fun is how much Abrams and the Chanel woman actually have in common. “Like Gabrielle Chanel once did, she asserts herself without artifice, driven by a fierce sense of freedom and an instinctive elegance,” said Thomas du Pré de Saint Maur, Head of Creative Resources at Chanel, adding, “Gracie arrives where she is not expected, always in motion, charting her own path.”

The scent itself is just as magnetic as its new face. Created by in-house perfumer Olivier Polge—and notably the first new addition to the Coco Mademoiselle fragrance collection in six years—Crush Absolu opens with grapefruit and lychee for a burst of freshness, moves into rose and jasmine for that sensual pull, then settles into a warm, amber-laced base of vetiver, vanilla and patchouli.

Chanel’s own Instagram caption sums up the whole vibe perfectly, calling it a scent that “embodies the power of attraction” and noting that when it meets Abrams, a crush simply follows.

For now, the announcement comes with a set of striking black-and-white portraits of Abrams (wearing Coco Crush jewelry, naturally)—the full campaign arrives in August alongside the fragrance itself, at Chanel.com and Chanel counters. The only downside is the wait.
