Akasa Air has released a travel advisory recommending that passengers arrive early and prepare for enhanced screening procedures.
The airline suggests that travelers get to the airport at least three hours before their flight and carry valid government-issued photo identification for entry. Passengers are permitted one piece of hand baggage weighing up to 7 kg, in addition to checked luggage, and will undergo secondary security screening prior to boarding.
“To expedite the process, we recommend checking in online,” stated Akasa Air, expressing gratitude to passengers for their understanding and cooperation.
Other major airlines, such as IndiGo, Air India, and SpiceJet, have not yet issued similar advisories but are likely to adhere to regulatory requirements as security remains heightened.

Explosion prompts nationwide alert
The blast from a slow-moving Hyundai i20 near Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort metro station on Monday evening set ablaze nearby vehicles and sent shockwaves throughout Old Delhi.
Officials stated that the vehicle was stopped at a traffic signal when the explosion occurred, igniting adjacent cars and motorbikes. Central agencies, including the National Investigation Agency (NIA), National Security Guard (NSG), and Delhi Police, are currently investigating the incident under terrorism and explosives-related laws.
In light of this, states across India have raised alerts, increased patrols, and deployed bomb disposal squads.
