The Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) has released a passenger advisory regarding a planned calibration of its Instrument Landing System (ILS). Authorities indicated that flight operations will be managed during the maintenance period, advising travelers to confirm any schedule modifications with their airlines.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Delhi Airport stated, “The mandatory flight calibration of the Instrument Landing System (ILS) will be conducted at IGIA tomorrow from 11:30 to 13:30 IST, as part of ongoing safety measures. Flights will be regulated during this timeframe, and some schedules may be affected. Please check with your airlines for updated flight details.”

Though the advisory is part of routine operations, it was issued shortly before the Red Fort explosion, which subsequently led to a security lockdown across Delhi. In response to the blast, security agencies heightened alert levels in the national capital, focusing on sensitive sites including the airport, Metro, and major railway stations in the NCR.

Officials reported that enhanced checks and surveillance measures were swiftly implemented at IGI Airport as precautionary actions, considering the increased threat level, according to India Today. Travelers arriving and departing from Delhi were encouraged to arrive well ahead of their scheduled flights due to potential delays amid intensified security and technical flight regulations.
