IDFC FIRST Bank announced on Tuesday (January 6) the introduction of the Zero-Forex Diamond Reserve Credit Card, enhancing its premium credit card lineup with a focus on international travel and lifestyle expenditures.

The bank states that the card features a zero foreign exchange markup for international transactions. It also provides reward points for both travel and everyday spending, offering higher earn rates for hotel and flight reservations made through the bank’s platform.

Cardholders will have access to airport lounges both in India and abroad, as well as benefits that include complimentary golf sessions, special hotel stay offers, and discounts on entertainment.

The Diamond Reserve Credit Card covers travel-related issues like baggage loss, flight delays, trip cancellations, and accident insurance, in addition to personal and air accident insurance.

It also boasts features such as lifetime validity of reward points, no limits on reward point accumulation, and flexible redemption options for online purchases.

The annual fee for the card is priced at ₹3,000 plus GST, with an annual fee waiver available from the second year for customers who meet a specified spending threshold. The bank has noted that the card can be accessed through digital channels for eligible customers.

Shirish Bhandari, Head – Credit Cards, FASTag & Loyalty at IDFC FIRST Bank, mentioned that this product is tailored for customers who frequently travel internationally, combining zero forex charges with travel-related rewards and advantages.

This launch occurs in a competitive landscape for premium credit cards, as banks strive to capture higher-spending clients with travel-centric offerings and bundled lifestyle perks.
