Changi Airport, serviced by approximately 100 airlines, hit a record high of 69.98 million passenger movements in 2025, marking a 3.4 percent increase from the previous year’s traffic, according to the Changi Airport Group (CAG).
The airport’s leading passenger markets for 2025 included China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, and India, it noted.
Changi Airport expanded its global network by adding 13 new city links in 2025, a milestone year for growth, CAG stated.
The new destinations encompass: Changchun, Harbin, Lanzhou, Yichang, and Zhangjiajie in China; Labuan Bajo, Padang, and Semarang in Indonesia; Vienna (Austria); Vijayawada (India); Kota Bharu (Malaysia); Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia); and Nha Trang (Vietnam).
As of January 2026, close to 100 airlines operate over 7,300 weekly scheduled flights from Changi Airport, linking Singapore to more than 170 cities across 50 countries and territories, as reported by CAG.
Aircraft movements, encompassing both landings and take-offs, increased by 2.2% year-on-year to 374,000 movements.
Airfreight throughput reached 2.08 million tonnes in 2025, surpassing the previous year’s figures by 4.5%.
This achievement marks one of Changi Airport’s best performances in cargo history, CAG noted. Changi’s leading air cargo markets included China, the United States, Australia, Hong Kong, and India.
December 2025 turned out to be the busiest month, registering 6.3 million passenger movements. The peak day of the year was December 20 – the Saturday prior to Christmas – when over 223,000 passengers traversed Changi’s terminals, it mentioned.
CAG CEO Yam Kum Weng remarked that the strong performance of Changi Airport occurred in “a volatile global environment”.
“As travel demand continues to rise in Asia, Changi is proactively looking to broaden its network in the region, targeting emerging secondary cities with rapid economic growth and promising tourism potential.
“Entering 2026, we are eager to create new opportunities for airlines and businesses. CAG will also keep enhancing the travel experience through greater innovation to ensure higher efficiencies and smoother operations.”
