Akasa Air has revealed that it will commence operations from the soon-to-be-opened Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) on December 25, 2025, with its inaugural flight between Delhi and Mumbai’s second airport.

Scheduled services from Navi Mumbai to Goa will also launch on the same day, followed by routes to Delhi and Kochi starting December 26, and Ahmedabad on December 31, 2025. Tickets can be purchased through Akasa Air’s website, mobile app, and top travel agents.

This initiative marks a significant milestone for India’s fastest-growing airline and the evolving aviation sector in the country. Akasa Air will be among the first carriers to operate from NMIA, showcasing its long-term vision to create a “future-ready network.”

Praveen Iyer, Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer of Akasa Air, stated:

Akasa Air intends to significantly expand its NMIA operations, aiming for up to 300 domestic and 50 international weekly flights over time. As part of its broader growth strategy, the airline plans to establish 10 parking bases by the end of FY2027, with a strong emphasis on entering key markets in the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
