The board has advised Southern Railway to intensify its efforts to achieve a target of 40% mobile-based unreserved ticket bookings via the RailOne App by March 1, 2026. This requires targeted initiatives such as passenger awareness campaigns and continuous monitoring to boost usage of the RailOne platform.
“All Divisions have shown noteworthy progress in improving mobile-based unreserved ticket bookings, with Southern Railway already recognized as one of the top-performing zones. It is encouraging to see this collective effort, and the Railway Board has called for maintaining this momentum with renewed focus,” the statement read.
Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw introduced RailOne in July 2025 during the 40th Foundation Day of the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS). The comprehensive application is available for download on both the Android Play Store and iOS App Store.
It features a variety of services, including unreserved ticket booking, live train tracking, e-catering, and grievance redressal.
