More than seven passenger trains will be cancelled for a three-day period starting December 22, according to a statement from the Chakradharpur division of South Eastern Railway, due to elephant movement.

The Memu train services will be suspended from December 22 to 24, as stated by South Eastern Railway.

A herd of elephants has been spotted near the railway tracks in the Chakradharpur (Singhbhum, Jharkhand)-Jharsuguda (Odisha) segment, particularly in Bandamuna during nighttime, reported Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Aditya Choudhary of the Chakradharpur division of S E Railway.
