The Solapur Division of Central Railway is set to run six trips of special weekend trains connecting Kalaburagi and Bengaluru Cantonment from late November through late December. This initiative is designed to enhance convenience and comfort for passengers, addressing the increased demand for weekend travel between these two cities.

According to a statement from the division, the special trains, identified as 06207 and 06208, are scheduled to operate on Saturdays and Sundays from November 23 to December 28.

As stated by the Central Railway’s Solapur Division, the Bengaluru Cantonment – Kalaburagi Special (Train No. 06207) will depart Bengaluru Cantonment at 7:20 pm on Saturdays between November 22 and December 27, arriving in Kalaburagi at 7:30 am the following morning.
On the other hand, the Kalaburagi – Bengaluru Cantonment Special (Train No. 06208) will depart Kalaburagi at 9:35 am on Sundays, reaching Bengaluru Cantonment at 8:30 pm the same day (from November 23 to December 28). Each train is set to make six trips during this time.

The trains will stop at various significant stations, including Yelahanka, Hindupur, Dharmavaram, Anantapur, Guntakal, Adoni, Manthralayam Road, Raichur, Krishna, Yadgir, and Shahabad.

Each train will comprise 22 coaches, featuring 20 Sleeper Class coaches and 2 Second Class Luggage-cum-Divyangjan coaches.

Bookings for these special trains, which will incur additional charges, can be made at computerized reservation centers or online via the official IRCTC website at www.irctc.co.in. Unreserved tickets can be purchased at station counters or through the UTS mobile app. Passengers are urged to travel with valid tickets.

Previously, Indian Railways announced the operation of two special trains from Patna Sahib and Old Delhi to Sri Anandpur Sahib from November 22 to 25, in memory of the Martyrdom Day of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the ninth Sikh Guru.
