Dermalogica Dynamic Skin Sculptor is one of my favorite firming body serums for addressing these concerns. Here’s my honest review.

Designed to improve crepiness and firmness from the neck down, this lightweight, gel-cream serum absorbs quickly without a sticky residue. And if you’ve used other body serums, you know that finding one with a good texture is half the battle. The other half (er, maybe 75 percent) is the formula, which needs the right blend of actives to ensure it actually works.
At the heart of this one is Dermalogica’s Pro-NAD+ Complex, which helps visibly tone skin for a smoother, tighter-looking appearance. Microalgae extract and hydrolyzed rice protein also lend a hand in the firming department, while offering hydrating benefits, too. If you have dry skin like I do, apply the serum when you get out of the shower while your skin is still slightly damp, which allows for better penetration.
I recommend using Dynamic Skin Sculptor on any area of concern—arms, legs, abdomen, butt, chest—twice a day for maximum benefits. In the morning, the biomimetic carnosine in the formula provides antioxidant protection against oxidative stress, which makes it a great option to layer under your body sunscreen (antioxidants and SPF are a match made in heaven).
Though this serum is the best I’ve tried in the category as of late (it won our 2026 Beauty Award for good reason), I do want to manage expectations. When skin laxity is significant, especially after major weight-loss, topical products are not a magic bullet, and surgery may be the only effective solution. That’s the case with every single body serum on the market—we’ve tried them all!
