During his address from Rajkot in Gujarat, Kinjarapu underscored the vital role that airports play in bolstering logistics and connectivity as India strives to become a developed nation. He highlighted that the number of airports in the country has risen from 74 to 165, making air travel more accessible to the general public rather than just metropolitan areas.
He also mentioned that the UDAN scheme has facilitated the expansion of airports throughout the nation, especially in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, fostering inclusive civil aviation. Moreover, he stressed the significance of digital enhancements like free Wi-Fi in improving passenger convenience and overall travel satisfaction, while also highlighting initiatives such as the UDAN Yatri Cafe that provide economical refreshments to travelers.
“The inauguration of these facilities signifies a key advancement in enhancing passenger experience at Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport. The airport remains dedicated to ongoing infrastructure and service improvements, focusing on delivering safe, seamless, and passenger-friendly services to everyone,” the statement concluded.
