The latest addition will operate between Gomtinagar and Saharanpur. Run and maintained by the Northern Railway zone, this service aims to enhance the travel experience with its modernized interiors, advanced safety features, and shortened travel times.
Officials have announced that the train will begin operations on December 9, with its inaugural run from Gomtinagar scheduled for December 10. Along its route, it will stop at Daliganj, Sitapur, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly, Moradabad, Najibabad, and Roorkee, connecting several essential commuter and commercial centers.

Uttar Pradesh has been instrumental in the deployment of the Vande Bharat fleet across India. It was the first state to introduce a Vande Bharat train, operating on the Varanasi-New Delhi route, which quickly became popular for its reduced travel time and exceptional onboard experience.
Since then, the network has expanded considerably. Passengers can now utilize services like the Rani Kamlapati-Nizamuddin Vande Bharat, the Anand Vihar Terminal-Dehradun Vande Bharat, and the Gorakhpur-Prayagraj Vande Bharat, facilitating smoother inter-city travel.
The state’s comprehensive list features the Varanasi-New Delhi return service that enhanced capacity on the heavily trafficked route, along with the Ayodhya-Anand Vihar Terminal Vande Bharat, the Patna-Gomti Nagar Vande Bharat, and the Ranchi–Banaras Vande Bharat. Additional services like the Lucknow-Dehradun Vande Bharat and the Meerut City-Lucknow connection have improved access among administrative centers. The system also covers routes such as Udaipur-Agra Cantt Vande Bharat, Varanasi-Deoghar Vande Bharat, Agra Cantt–Banaras route, and the newly added Gorakhpur–Patliputra Vande Bharat service.

With the introduction of the Gomtinagar–Saharanpur train, Uttar Pradesh will feature an extensive Vande Bharat network.
