In an interview with CNBC-TV18 following the CEOs roundtable co-chaired by India’s Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal in Paris, Pittie encouraged European businesses to hold their board meetings in India’s diverse and picturesque locales.
Calling for an international collaboration for startups between India and France to accelerate company growth in both nations, he mentioned that the rich talent pool in India could greatly benefit the high-tech industry in France. He projected a potential increase in bilateral trade from $15 billion to $50 billion between the two countries.
Describing the shifting definition of luxury with the rise of experiential tourism, he noted that travelers are steering away from traditional 5-star accommodations towards AirBNBs, unique destinations, indulgent experiences, and health tourism.
Pittie referred to the emerging trend of camping near pilgrimage sites as “glamping” and announced that the company is launching an initiative called “easy Darshan” at these locations to help devotees understand temple rituals. He revealed that tourist bookings for Turkiye and Azerbaijan have been halted after those countries supported Pakistan during Operation Sindoor, resulting in a cancellation of 65%-70% of prior bookings to these nations from India through his company.
Additionally, he mentioned that the company has initiated the manufacturing of electric buses and has submitted bids for tenders from the Madhya Pradesh government.
