“We expect the interim government to guarantee the safety of Missions and Posts in Bangladesh as part of its diplomatic responsibilities,” the MEA stated.

The ambassador was informed of India’s deep worries regarding the worsening security conditions in Bangladesh.

Indian officials expressed frustration over the lack of action taken by the Bangladesh interim government regarding recent incidents, labeling them as “unfortunate”.

“India categorically rejects the misleading narrative being pushed by extremist groups concerning certain recent occurrences in Bangladesh,” the MEA emphasized in a statement.

“It is regrettable that the interim government has neither conducted a comprehensive inquiry nor provided substantial evidence to India regarding these incidents,” it concluded.
