Between April 7 and May 31, the airline will introduce a third daily flight from Delhi to London Heathrow. Additionally, from May 15 to 31, a third daily flight from Mumbai to London Heathrow will also be available, as stated in a release on Thursday, March 26.
“The airline is enhancing short-term capacity on these routes to cater to the high demand and offer customers more options and flexibility when traveling between India, the UK, and beyond,” it noted.
With this added capacity, British Airways will be operating as many as 63 weekly flights, providing over 1,000 extra seats per week between India and the UK.
Neil Chernoff, British Airways’ Chief Planning and Strategy Officer, mentioned that the airline has successfully reallocating additional capacity to meet strong demand for other destinations across its network, highlighting that India remains a key global market for them.
