The Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority has announced that Iraqi airspace is now open to air traffic effective immediately, attributing this decision to the stabilization of conditions and a return to normalcy. The authority’s statement confirmed that this move allows for the restart of civilian flight operations, encompassing both incoming and outgoing flights.
Additionally, they stated that the facility is fully equipped to resume operations, with all the necessary systems ready to manage air traffic as flights progressively resume.
The authority also mentioned that technical and logistical measures are being implemented to restore scheduled services to international locations. These efforts are being coordinated with relevant aviation bodies to ensure a seamless and gradual revival of operations.
