Bahrain Airport Company, responsible for the management and operation of the airport, confirmed that flight operations are being reinstated gradually after Civil Aviation Affairs at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications declared the reopening of airspace.
Passengers are recommended to check with their airlines for the most current updates regarding their flights.
Additionally, a separate notice issued on the same day advised passengers against heading to the airport unless they have a confirmed flight. Travellers were encouraged to monitor Bahrain International Airport’s official communication channels for real-time information.
The airport authorities thanked passengers for their understanding and patience during this transition back to normal operations.
Furthermore, the King Fahd Causeway, which connects Saudi Arabia to Bahrain, has reopened after a temporary closure due to potential Iranian threats, as reported by the King Fahd Causeway Authority.
This closure followed a ballistic missile attack from Iran aimed at Saudi Arabia, which may have affected energy infrastructure, although details on the extent of any damage have not been provided. The causeway remains the sole road link between Bahrain and the Arabian Peninsula.
