Akasa Air has rolled out its loyalty program, Akasa Elevate, coinciding with the airline’s fourth anniversary on August 7. This initiative will enable members to accumulate Elevate Points from qualifying flight bookings and ancillary purchases, with privileges varying based on their membership tier.

Since launching in August 2022, Akasa Air has successfully transported nearly 29 million passengers. The airline currently services 29 domestic routes and seven international destinations, operating a fleet of 40 aircraft.

Akasa Elevate features four membership tiers. Members can ascend to higher tiers by completing eligible flights or meeting spending criteria.

Points can be accrued on qualifying flight bookings along with ancillary products and services. The program also offers tier-based advantages encompassing priority services, baggage handling, seat selection, meal preferences, and travel flexibility.

Enhanced benefits are available at elevated membership tiers, including premium-tier members who gain access to dedicated customer support and additional airport services.

Passengers can redeem points for previous journeys

Akasa Air has introduced a special Retro Claim facility allowing passengers who have flown with the airline since April 1, 2026, to enroll in the program and receive Elevate Points for their eligible past travels.

In an interview with CNBC-TV18, Akasa Air Founder and CEO Vinay Dube mentioned that this facility currently accommodates travel back to the start of the fiscal year.

“To start, you can have retro claims that go all the way back to the first day of our fiscal year, which is April 1, 2026,” Dube stated.

What are the perks for top-tier members?

The top level of Akasa Elevate will extend additional flexibility for frequent travelers. Dube mentioned that these members will enjoy benefits such as no change fees, increased baggage allowance, and the ability to switch to an earlier flight without incurring change fees.

The airline also aims to offer more personalized support for customers in the premium tier.

“And I believe at the core of all this is the tailored care we will provide for our most dedicated customers. This is our way of expressing gratitude on our fourth anniversary to the amazing customers who have put their trust in us and continue to choose us,” Dube added.
