An Akasa Air spokesperson mentioned that aviation turbine fuel prices have surged significantly due to the evolving geopolitical landscape in the region.
Given that fuel comprises a major portion of airline operational costs, this rise has affected expenses throughout the aviation sector.
“There has been a notable rise in aviation turbine fuel prices, spurred by ongoing geopolitical developments in the Middle East. Since fuel constitutes a significant segment of airline operational costs, this affects overall operational expenses within the industry. The fuel surcharge will vary based on the duration of the flight and will be applied per sector,” the spokesperson stated.
Notwithstanding this adjustment, the airline affirmed its commitment to delivering dependable operations, competitive fares, and efficient customer service.
The carrier will also monitor the operating environment closely and may review the fuel surcharge periodically.
