“We have 12 chapters in India, with all chapter chairmen and committees present. Our goal is to extend full support to tourism, which is vital for Kashmir as there is no other place like it,” Prakash stated at a press conference.
He emphasized that recent incidents, including the Pahalgam terror attack, had created unease among travellers, but insisted that the Valley continues to be safe and welcoming. “The Pahalgam incident has frightened some people, but we are here today to send a strong message. Through our chapters, clients, and agents across India, we will communicate that Kashmir is open, prepared to welcome visitors, and remains both safe and beautiful,” he said.
“Visit Kashmir. This message will reach every part of the country,” Prakash added.

TAFI’s leadership is also collaborating with airlines and hotels to ensure that travel to Kashmir stays accessible and affordable. “Kashmir was flourishing until recently, and reviving that momentum requires support from airlines, hoteliers, and tour and travel operators across the nation,” he pointed out.
He mentioned that federation members would hold presentations about their visit and experiences in the Valley to inspire travel to the region. “We will speak to people and conduct presentations in our chapters about what we experienced here. Hopefully, in a few months, Kashmir will return to its previous status as it is the pride of India.”

Prakash firmly dismissed calls to avoid travelling to Kashmir, deeming such suggestions “foolish.” “We are here to affirm our solidarity with Kashmir, showing our support for our brothers in the region. We will assist as much as we can. Things will improve beyond their previous state,” he stated.
To demonstrate its commitment, TAFI has announced that its members will feature the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism logo alongside the taglines “Dil Se Kashmir” and “Jannat Phir Khuli Hai” in their official email signatures. This gesture symbolizes their dedication to revitalizing tourism in one of India’s most beloved destinations.
