If you’ve been eyeing a fresh red lip for fall, Sadie Sink may have just done your homework for you. At the Los Angeles premiere of Spider-Man: Brand New Day on Monday night, the actress stepped out on the blue carpet in a backless silver Prada gown, but it was her makeup look, courtesy of celebrity makeup artist Nina Park, that gave beauty fans something to obsess over: a coral-red lip in a shade that’s available now, housed in an unreleased Guerlain case fans won’t be able to get their hands on until next month.
The lip is Guerlain’s Rouge G in shade 234 L’Orange Sienne Velvet ($44), an existing shade you can buy right now and click into any Rouge G case you already own. The real reveal, however, was the case Park used: Le Python, Guerlain’s next collectible Rouge G design, which won’t officially launch until August 17. A presale waitlist is already open for anyone hoping to get a head start.
“I wanted the lip color to feel soft and understated but still grounding,” Park says of Sink’s glam. “A soft deep coral added just enough warmth to complement the cool tones while keeping the overall look fresh, elegant and effortless.”
Before applying the lipstick, Park lined and filled lips with Guerlain’s Contour G Lip Pencil in Le Beige Praline ($36), a step that helps a bold shade like L’Orange Sienne Velvet look sculpted instead of flat and keeps the color from feathering under red carpet lighting.
The lip wasn’t working in isolation, either. Park built the rest of the look around Sink’s fluid, silver gown, using Guerlain’s Terracotta Le Teint Glow Foundation ($67), Precious Light Illuminator ($60) and Terracotta Blush in Light Coral ($60) for a radiant, lit-from-within complexion, plus the Ombres G Eyeshadow Quad in Birdy Beige ($87) and Noir G Mascara ($41) for soft, defined eyes. “Delicate, airy eyes paired with radiant skin create a look that feels fresh, refined and effortlessly polished,” Park says of the overall concept.
