Air India is simplifying travel planning by partnering with booking.com, enabling customers to book their accommodations along with flights. This collaboration also offers access to loyalty rewards and time-limited discounts on stays.

A special co-branded platform on the Air India website and mobile app allows users to explore over 31 million lodging options worldwide in 45 languages. The selection features more than 8.6 million homes, villas, and unique accommodations, complete with 24/7 customer support.

Maharaja Club members can earn 5 points for every ₹100 spent on hotel bookings through the platform, which can be redeemed for reward flights and seat upgrades. Additionally, bookings made from June 22 to July 21, 2026, may qualify for discounts of up to 15% at select locations.

Industry data indicates that more travelers prefer to arrange flights, accommodations, and additional services in one convenient place. Research also suggests that leisure travelers often select bundled packages that incorporate various offerings.

According to Air India, its Maharaja Club loyalty program has experienced significant growth over the past two years, now boasting over 100 brand partners across diverse categories. As part of Star Alliance, members enjoy a variety of global benefits throughout the alliance’s international network.

Earlier this month, Air India launched a new ‘Basic’ fare category for domestic economy travelers, offering a more affordable ticket option.

This new choice removes complimentary in-flight meals for a lower fare, reducing costs by approximately ₹ 500 to ₹ 600 per trip. It still provides a 15 kg checked baggage allowance, a 7 kg cabin baggage allowance, and complimentary tea or coffee onboard.

The fare is currently being tested on selected short-haul domestic routes such as Delhi–Chandigarh, Delhi–Amritsar, and Bengaluru–Hyderabad.
