”The Statue of Unity, featuring the tallest statue in the world, has gained an additional landmark attraction with the successful debut of a 600-passenger cruise on the Narmada river,” an official statement mentioned.
Commercial operations will begin once all necessary statutory approvals are obtained and safety regulations are adhered to, it added.
The development agency for the Statue of Unity already facilitates a 200-passenger cruise that presents views of the magnificent statue dedicated to Sardar Patel, the enchanting Narmada river, and the surrounding landscapes, which have received a favorable response from visitors, the statement highlighted.
”To cater to the rising number of tourists and heightened demand, this new, larger cruise has been introduced to significantly broaden the tourism possibilities at the destination,” it noted.
In addition to sightseeing, the innovative cruise has been specifically designed as a versatile floating venue for a variety of social, cultural, and corporate events.
”The vessel accommodates birthday parties, corporate events, product launches, musical evenings, cultural performances, private gatherings, and other special events, providing guests with a unique experience amidst the scenic Narmada River backdrop,” the statement declared.
The cruise is equipped with decorative architectural lighting, offering an impressive visual experience during evening and night sailings. Coupled with modern amenities and its large capacity, the vessel is poised to become a flagship attraction in Ekta Nagar, the statement indicated.
The 30-meter-long cruise has a capacity for 600 passengers, a dining area for 250, and a 5×4 meter stage for performances, it mentioned.
”The Statue of Unity Area Development and Tourism Governance Authority (SOUADTGA) continues to roll out world-class tourism infrastructure aimed at enhancing Ekta Nagar’s standing as one of India’s top tourism hotspots,” the statement elaborated.
The new cruise is set to further enrich visitor experiences while creating opportunities for destination weddings, corporate gatherings, cultural events, and private celebrations.
