Indian airlines are set to operate 50 flights to West Asia on March 9, in response to disruptions caused by regional tensions. Air India and Air India Express will conduct 24 scheduled flights to Jeddah and Muscat.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation is actively monitoring the situation in West Asia, which has impacted air travel between India and the region. Airlines are adjusting their operations to prioritize passenger safety and ensure efficient flight operations.

On March 7, 51 inbound flights from West Asia brought a total of 8,175 passengers to India. For March 8, Indian carriers, including Air India, Air India Express, Indigo, SpiceJet, and Akasa, planned 49 inbound flights from airports such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Muscat, and Jeddah, depending on the ongoing situation.
As of March 8, a total of 279 flights scheduled by Indian carriers have been cancelled due to the prevailing circumstances.

The Ministry has noted that Indian carriers are constantly evaluating ground conditions at other regional airports to potentially ramp up operations. Airfares are also under scrutiny to avert unreasonable price increases.

Passengers are encouraged to stay in contact with their airlines for real-time updates on flight schedules. The Ministry will continue to provide updates as the situation unfolds.
