Passengers aboard Vande Bharat Express trains are entitled to a complimentary meal if their train is delayed by two hours or more. According to a new facility from IRCTC, those who choose the meal option while booking their tickets will receive free food, including items like rice, dal, and pickle.

This rule affects trains passing through stations such as Muzaffarpur, Bapudham Motihari, Hajipur, Samastipur, Salauna, Hasanpur Road, and Saharsa.

Who Can Board

The Vande Bharat service implements a strict ticketing policy to ensure a comfortable and organized travel experience. Only passengers with confirmed tickets are allowed to board the train, and those with RAC or waitlisted tickets cannot travel on this service.

Vande Bharat trains offer travelers the opportunity to savor regional cuisine during their journey. After boarding, passengers receive a bottle of packaged drinking water and a daily newspaper.
