Indian travelers can now reserve Burj Khalifa experiences online with UPI.

30 July 2026, 1 min read
Indian travelers heading to Dubai can now utilize UPI to reserve experiences at the famous Burj Khalifa prior to their arrival. This payment option has been introduced for online bookings at At the Top, Burj Khalifa, thanks to a collaboration between NPCI International Payments Limited (NIPL), NEOPAY, and Emaar Entertainment.

With this new integration, visitors can choose and pay for Burj Khalifa experiences directly through the attraction’s official website using UPI-enabled apps, rather than depending solely on international cards or other payment methods.

This initiative broadens the application of UPI in the UAE from merely physical merchant transactions to include online travel bookings. Since 2022, UPI-enabled payments have been operational within NEOPAY’s merchant network in the UAE via QR-based acceptance.

At the Top, Burj Khalifa ranks as one of Dubai’s most frequented attractions, drawing travelers globally, with a notable influx from India. This latest feature enables Indian tourists to secure bookings in advance using a familiar payment method they frequently use in India.

This development illustrates the growing significance of digital payments in international travel. Familiar payment options for Indian travelers can facilitate transactions abroad, especially when booking attractions and travel-related services.

The partnership also enhances the uptake of UPI in global markets. NIPL, the international branch of NPCI, has been actively pursuing the expansion of UPI acceptance in various countries, enabling Indian travelers to utilize the real-time payment system outside of India.

At the Top, Burj Khalifa provides observation experiences at several levels of the tower, including viewing decks on Levels 124 and 125, along with the premium At the Top SKY experience on Level 148. Standing at 828 meters, the Burj Khalifa is recognized as the world’s tallest building.
