The landslides occurred on July 6 in the Bhor Ghat area between Thakurwadi and Monkey Hill, impacting all three railway lines. Although the Middle line was declared clear on July 7, extensive damage to the other tracks required continuous restoration efforts.

Official update from Central Railway
Restoration efforts are in progress. Over 1,100 railway personnel, including senior management, have been mobilized to remove boulders and debris from the affected area.
Central Railway’s senior officials are present on site to oversee the restoration, with teams working continuously to resume services as soon as possible.
The authorities reported that a six-kilometer stretch of the Up line has been cleared so far, with restoration continuing under adverse weather conditions, according to the official statement.
