These points can be redeemed for future stays at over 13,300 hotels, homestays, and villas available on the platform, both within India and internationally. As reported by the company, the program encompassed 13,376 accommodation options across 1,002 cities as of June 30, 2026.
The launch aligns with the trend of online travel platforms leveraging loyalty programs to foster repeat bookings and enhance customer retention amid intensifying competition in the travel industry.
In contrast to conventional hotel loyalty programs that often restrict rewards to a specific hotel chain, OneCircle enables customers to earn and redeem points through various participating accommodation options on MakeMyTrip’s platform.
The company noted that the network consists of 12,330 properties in 868 Indian cities and 1,046 properties in 134 destinations across 39 countries. Approximately 75% of the participating properties are situated in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
MakeMyTrip stated that properties were chosen based on customer reviews, evaluations from its supply team, and the willingness of accommodation partners to engage with the program.
For accommodation providers, the initiative aims to boost repeat bookings by allowing customers to utilize rewards at different participating properties, rather than being confined to a specific hotel brand.
Rajesh Magow, Executive Director and Group CEO of MakeMyTrip, mentioned that the company seeks to provide customers with a more straightforward rewards program while assisting accommodation partners in attracting repeat clientele.
The company revealed that the program launched in phases and has experienced promising early uptake, although specific booking or redemption figures were not disclosed.
This introduction enhances MakeMyTrip’s offerings, which already include the MakeMyTrip, Goibibo, and redBus platforms, as online travel companies increasingly turn to rewards and membership initiatives to bolster customer loyalty.
