This programme welcomes travel and lifestyle creators who have a minimum of 10,000 followers and satisfy the company’s qualifying criteria. Through this initiative, creators will gain access to travel-related insights and content resources designed to assist them in producing destination-centric content for platforms like Instagram.
MakeMyTrip emphasizes that creators involved in the programme will be compensated based on the engagement their content generates rather than their follower count. This model is designed to encourage a wider variety of creators to participate, including those with smaller but more engaged audiences.
The launch signifies the growing importance of social media in shaping travel choices, with short-form videos and creator-generated content emerging as primary sources of travel inspiration for consumers.
Meta will enhance the programme by offering creator education resources, such as learning modules, masterclasses, and trend insights. The execution partner for this initiative will be Collective Artists Network’s creator platform, Galleri5.
As part of the launch, MakeMyTrip and Meta recently organized an awareness event for over 100 travel and lifestyle creators to discuss the programme and share best practices for content creation.
This initiative aims to connect travelers with recommendations from creators and practical travel information while providing creators with more monetization opportunities driven by audience engagement.
