Paisabazaar has introduced PB Pass, a novel airport lounge access initiative designed to enhance engagement among credit card users, as fintech platforms shift their focus from merely acquiring customers to nurturing loyalty and ongoing usage.

The initiative, launched in collaboration with Collinson International, offers selected Paisabazaar users access to over 1,800 airport lounges and travel experiences at more than 800 airports worldwide via the LoungeKey network.

This initiative arrives at a time when travel-related rewards remain highly desirable among credit card holders in India, despite several banks tightening their complimentary lounge access criteria by imposing spending thresholds and eligibility requirements.
With the new programme, customers who pay their credit card bills via the Paisabazaar app will have the chance to win complimentary lounge access through a monthly “Spin the Wheel” contest. Additionally, users who apply for a new credit card through Paisabazaar will receive guaranteed access after activating their card and making their first bill payment on the platform.
PB Pass will utilize a QR code-based system and will not necessitate any extra memberships or registrations, the company stated.

Santosh Agarwal, CEO of Paisabazaar, mentioned that the initiative aims to foster deeper customer engagement beyond mere product acquisition.

Collinson International, which manages LoungeKey and Priority Pass, noted that there is a rising demand and interest in airport experience benefits among Indian consumers.

“In India, travel demand is gaining significant momentum, with consumers increasingly valuing travel-oriented benefits such as airport lounge access,” said Rom Remy, Managing Director for South and Southeast Asia at Collinson International.

Access to airport lounges has emerged as a crucial differentiator in India’s competitive credit card landscape, especially following several banks’ adjustments to their complimentary access policies over the last two years in response to escalating usage costs.

Paisabazaar, a part of listed PB Fintech, stated that the programme enhances existing travel benefits available on credit cards while streamlining access through a single digital platform.
