The airline, supported by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), revealed that bookings for the new flight will be available starting July 6.
This new daily service between Mumbai and Riyadh will utilize a Boeing B787-9 aircraft, featuring a four-class layout – business elite, business, premium economy, and economy.
This route marks a significant expansion in Riyadh Air’s network, which now covers nine destinations, with more to be unveiled soon, as stated by the airline. It also enhances the goal of connecting Saudi Arabia with major global and regional hubs. “India is one of the fastest-growing aviation markets worldwide, and we are excited to provide travellers with a premium option and improved connectivity from Mumbai to Riyadh, and beyond to Europe,” commented Tony Douglas, CEO of Riyadh Air.
Since its launch in March 2023, Riyadh Air aims to connect its network to over 100 destinations worldwide by 2030.
The Mumbai-Riyadh route will facilitate connections to Europe and the Middle East, catering to both business and leisure travellers from India, according to the airline.
This inaugural flight from India underscores Riyadh Air’s dedication to one of the largest and rapidly expanding aviation markets in the world.
The route satisfies the substantial Indian demand for travel to Saudi Arabia and Europe while accommodating expatriate communities with a new travel option back to India.
This new service establishes Riyadh as a key transit hub, enabling convenient connections for passengers flying from Mumbai to global cities like London and Madrid as well as regional destinations including Jeddah and Cairo, the airline noted.
