Prime Minister Modi is set to participate in a public event near HAL Airport and subsequently attend the 45th anniversary celebration at the Art of Living International Centre.
As per the traffic advisory, restrictions will be active from 5 am to 3 pm in regions governed by the HAL Traffic Police Station. Authorities have urged commuters to plan their journeys ahead and steer clear of affected areas whenever feasible.
Which Roads Will Be Closed Today?
The movement of all vehicles will be temporarily halted on HAL Airport Exit Road from Old Airport Road to the DGCA Office on both sides.
Traffic will also be limited on HAL Airport Gate 30 Road between Umbrella Junction and Gate No. 30 on both sides.
Furthermore, traffic limitations will be imposed on NICE Road between Sompura Cloverleaf Junction and Kanakapura Road from 9 am to 3 pm.
Authorities stated that drivers should avoid these routes during the restriction hours to minimize delays and congestion.
Parking Banned on Key Bengaluru Roads
The no-parking zones consist of:
- Old Airport Road from SD Road Junction to Trinity Junction
- HAL Airport Gate 30 Road from Umbrella Junction to Gate No. 30
- HAL Airport Exit Road from Old Airport Road to the DGCA Office
Traffic police have warned that vehicles parked in these restricted areas may be towed and face enforcement action.
Where Can Visitors Park Instead?
Travelers coming from Marathahalli and Whitefield can drop off passengers near Gate No. 2 on Airport Exit Road before 8.30 am. After drop-off, they can park their vehicles at Sir M Visvesvaraya College Ground in Murugeshpalya.
Individuals coming from the city can also use the same drop-off point near Gate No. 2. Parking arrangements have been made at the HAL Bus Yard on Suranjan Das Road for them.
Alternative Routes Bengaluru Commuters Can Use
The traffic advisory also offers diversion routes for those headed towards south Bengaluru and Kanakapura Road.
Vehicles traveling from Tumakuru Road to Kanakapura Road are advised to take the CMTI Junction route via Rajkumar Punyabhoomi Road.
Motorists on Magadi Road should divert at Sumanahalli Junction.
Those coming from Mysuru Road can utilize Nayandahalli Junction and continue on the Outer Ring Road.
Authorities have also suggested that commuters aiming for Bannerghatta Road use Harinagara Cross and Jambusavari Dinne Road to evade congestion near restricted areas.
The Bengaluru Traffic Police has advised commuters to adhere to diversion signs and instructions provided by traffic personnel throughout the day.
