The new release, Myra 2.0, empowers users to search, choose, pay for, and confirm their bookings via text or voice. According to the company, the assistant can now handle multi-condition travel queries encompassing hotel requirements like accessibility, room configurations, and dietary needs, along with complex international itineraries.
In a highlighted example from the company, users can enter multi-leg travel plans and obtain information regarding transit visa requirements, necessary passenger-specific documentation, and various booking options within a single interaction.
The assistant also accommodates image and document uploads, including extracting passport data for autofilling traveler details, and it enables users to pose questions about specific options during the booking process without having to redo the search.

MakeMyTrip reported that Myra manages approximately three million conversations each quarter, with around 45% of interactions coming from tier-2 and smaller cities. The company noted that users engaging with the assistant are typically more likely to complete bookings compared to traditional filter-based methods.
Voice interactions are particularly prevalent in non-metro areas, with a significant portion of voice queries being made in Hinglish. These conversations are generally longer and more detailed than keyboard entries.
Myra 2.0 is currently being rolled out, according to the company.
